Love Strikes

Jonah didn't have chance.
He tried pretty hard to RUN from God's heart, but three days in a fish can do a turn on a man.
God had a thing for the people of Ninevah. And Jonah, whether he liked it or not, was on a collision course with the heart of God. He was created to move to its rhythm. He was created to be in partnership with God's heart - with His love for people.
He is joined by a whole host of misfits, kings, and ragamuffin messengers who were apprehended by the cadence of a new life.
And they simply set a precedent for the rest of us.
You were created to be apprehended, to be moved by God's love and compelled to love others. Our stories begin wherever our feet tread - at the breakfast table, the grocery line, the cubicle. But what God is orchestrating through our small strikes of love is a beat heard round the world - the sound of His love chasing us all down.
The answer to "what am I supposed to do with my life?" is simple.
You are meant to love Him and love the ones He puts in front of you.
Today, I pray as you lean into the places God has for you to walk, may you hear His heart beating clearly, "so that the world may know that You sent [Christ], and loved [us] even as you loved [Him]." (John 17:23)
