think about it. (self centered, awareness, perspective)Confession: writing this series has been NO FUN. I’ve been convicted about by my failure to occupy myself in serving others and confronted with my incessant preoccupation with myself. Ugh.

Thank God for His mercy.

And His grace is pretty helpful in moments like this as well.

Because of that power pair, I do not have to wallow in guilt or condemnation about my failings. Thankfully, I have the opportunity to get up, dust myself off and give it another go.

So do you.

Each day, we’re given another shot at fully engaging, fully impacting and fully occupying the world and our little pieces of it. That’s only possible as we deliberately die to ourselves and make sharing this Jesus-life our priority.  It’s very easy to get consumed and distracted by our own needs and interests, but if we make that a habit, we do so at the expense of those we’ve been sent to reach. Let’s not allow that to be the imprint we make--let’s occupy ourselves with being occupied with them instead.

"I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30 NLT
