My Beautiful Beach Homes

I'm great at building sand castles.

Not the ones made out of actual sand, but the ones I build by going my own way, doing my own thing, hearing what the Lord wants for me and willfully walking in the opposite direction.

I've repeated the process so often, I have a virtual neighborhood of sandy beach homes--monuments to my ability to live according to the flesh, to say no to the things of the spirit and to reap the harvest of such foolish living.

I'm in the middle of construction on another beach front property even as I write. In fact, this is another one of those times when our topic here at DFF has served to convict me in my foolishness and snap me back to reality. If you're a neighbor of mine out here, ignoring the Truth in some way and building your own Taj Mahal in the sand, feel free to walk over and borrow my sledge hammer. Let's get rid of these monuments to foolish living and rebuild on a foundation that we can rely on.

"Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall." Matthew 7:26-27
