Giving to Receive

Howdy Readers!

This week the Daily Fast Fuel gals are whipping up another week of reflections on the "opposites" that the life of a Christ-Follower bring. Last week we were dying to live, and this week we are GIVING to RECEIVE!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to read the posts this week, as this is one of my favorite themes in the Bible. In fact, it has been a reigning truth in my life for quite some time. It took hold of me in High School because it was, in fact, my school's motto. You've heard me mention my boarding school before: St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia. They really set the vision of the school up for long-lasting impact when they focused their efforts on this one little, but powerful sentence:

What we keep we lose, only what we give remains our own.

It has stuck with me for 20 years.
