Reading Through The Bible

Are you surprised?

That my required reading would be so obvious?

Well, let's just say that I had an almost, dare I say, magical experience when I read through the Bible with a friend years ago.

Sadly, I've not done it since.

It is a wonder to me that while we gravitate to the latest, greatest Christian book on the market, many have not read through THE book, even though there are now incredible tools to help organize our reading through it.

Here are a few to get you started:

One Year Bible: several great translations and versions, including reading it chronologically.

Bible App

Youversion.com (syncs with Bible App)

One Year Bible Online

Bible Gateway

So if you haven't read through the entire Bible and the idea just feels completely overwhelming and daunting, use one of these clever tools to portion out your scripture for a day. For added accountability, buddy up or grab a group with the intention of reading through God's word together.

Regardless, the Living Word on which we Hope should be a part of our required reading. How 'bout a little sword-play?
