Article I: The citizens have the right to enjoy the sole
leadership of God, the Father, Almighty and to serve only Him.
Article II: The citizens have the right to love God more
than anything else. More than Facebook. More than TV. More than football. More
than their career. More than their house or any belongings.
Article III: The citizens have the right to call on their King whenever
they truly need Him. Anyplace. Anytime. They also have the right to respect
that privilege so much that they won’t abuse it and throw the King’s name
around willy-nilly.
Article IV: The citizens have the right to have one day of
complete rest every week. (Woo-hoo!)
Article V: The citizens have the right to refuse to dismiss
their parents and other elders as unimportant or irrelevant, but instead to
cherish, respect and love them.
Article VI: The citizens have the right to live in a town
without anger and without fear.
Article VII: The citizens have the right to hold commitments
to each other as sacred.
Article VIII: The citizens have the right to share all that
they have so that no one is in need.
Article IX: The citizens have the right to live in Truth.
Always.
Article X: Thanks to Jesus, the citizens have the right to
receive grace, even when they don’t deserve it. Likewise, they have the right
to extend grace, even to those who don’t deserve it.
There are more where these came from, but that's enough to get you started. What do you think?
Guess what? If all of this sounds like a bit too much, and
you don’t much care for the idea of living with these rights…YOU DON’T HAVE TO.
The King offers an open invitation to all, but accepting that offer of heavenly
citizenship is totally up to you.
BUT, if you DO feel drawn to embrace these rights as your
own, you can! In fact, you can start enjoying these rights before your
immigration process to this new Kingdom is complete. You can join some ex-pat
communities here on earth where other future-citizens of heaven are practicing
living out the ways of the Kingdom. That way, once you get there, you’ll feel
right at home.
Amen.
