Limitations - Part One

Before this summer, I would NEVER of thought to write about "limitations." In fact, I'm the type of person who detests limits if it is something I've set my mind on. So why, you may ask, is my mind on limitations now? The answer is because for the first time in my life, with the exception of when I was a baby, I've had to depend on others for almost everything!

On the last day of school (June 10th to be exact) I was hosting a 5th Grade Graduation party for my son Jay. Over 50 people were to arrive at my house at 5:30 p.m. However, at 2:30 p.m. I was falling off a ladder while trying to hang balloons. If I'd known my limits, I would have waited for assistance from my Father and Brother who were helping me set up. Instead I tried to do it myself, and as a result, I fell and broke my arm and wrist. I had surgery on both six days later and I'm now going to Physical Therapy to regain the use of my right arm (and Yes, I'm right handed)!  I've had to accept help with everyday things, that before this happened, I took for granted.

So this week, I thought we'd take a look at:
  • Different ways we are limited
  • How God is limited
  • What to do to break these limitations.
There's no "limit" to what God may speak to you, so I hope you will stop by!

(In case you were wondering, the party still went on! I asked my Dad to take me to the doctor and my husband stayed to host the party so the kids were able to enjoy themselves.)
