Celebrate Today

If I weren’t a believer, you couldn’t entice me to become one simply by promising that when I die I’ll go to heaven. I’ve never been a fan of the watered-down Christian theology that says, “Life is rough, but then you get to party in heaven. So, believe!”

The way I see it, the party is already here!

Every time you remember the least of these, you join the party. Every time you forgive someone you otherwise wouldn’t have without Jesus’ help, you join the party. Every time you find strength or joy or inspiration or courage in the Word, you join the party. Every time you love someone like Jesus does, you join the party.

Life is rough, but it can be better with Jesus in it. I can be better today. It can be full of the joy of heaven TODAY. You get to party TODAY. So believe!

Jesus even asked us to pray for such a celebration…

“...your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
