Time
Time – stands still when the kids are waiting for the clock at
school,
Time flies when they’re on a playdate with a good friend…
A child has no comprehension of time when I say “bed in 15
minutes”…
Time is endless when they’re waiting for their next BIG birthday because they’re always trying to grow up way too fast!
Time for adults can be just the opposite –not always, but occasionally a playdate can run a little long;
School flies by (didn’t I just drop them off???); we see bed time as a reward
for a hard day’s work; and I feel like I JUST had a birthday (it can’t be time
for another one!)
One thing I know for sure…God’s time is not like ours!
This is especially true when you’re waiting on Him for an answer
to prayer, a promise to be fulfilled, or a season to end so the next one can
come.
If only, like a little child waiting to unwrap presents at
Christmas, I anxiously and hopefully awaited God’s answer to my prayers; I
patiently anticipated His promises to be fulfilled; and I graciously gave
thanks in the present season until it ushered in the next one.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything
beautiful in its time.”
