Help

Do you ever feel like you're taking two steps forward and one step back in your walk with the Lord? It's so easy to get off track, especially if we aren't taking time everyday to spend in God's presence and His Word. The cares of this life pull us, and the trials we face can cause us to veer off the path of God's will for our lives. If we're not careful, we can find ourselves in dangerous, worldly territory,

Yet, one thing I know from my own personal journey with Jesus, is that He ALWAYS brings me back where I belong. When I find myself struggling, feeling like things are getting over my head, I take comfort in the promise of God's help. These Scriptures give me the assurance that God is at work, and He is faithful, even when I'm faithless!
  • Phil. 2:13 - "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."
  • Heb. 12:2 - "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith...
  • Phil. 1:6 - "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus"
I don't know about you, but it makes me feel so much better knowing that God chose me, He's the Author of my faith, AND the one who will perfect it. That He (through the Holy Spirit in me) is the one who puts the desire in my heart to do good, and then gives me the power to accomplish it. Most importantly, I feel good when I hear the word "confident" that He will finish what He started! Even if I begin to drift sideways at times, He'll put my feet back on the road to my destiny in Him.

So you and I are NOT alone in this Christian walk...
  •  John 14:18 - "No, I will not abandon you as orphans - I will come to you."
  • John 14:25 - "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you"
Praise God for the promise of His help!
